Haggards' Halls ( VII )
Paul E. Berube

Darkness pales a guiding light
and whispers claim eternal night.
To walk in patient careful step,
of every turn, one be adept.

These secrets I've entrusted you,
example leads by what I'd do.
Set your path and follow through,
fail and meet your Waterloo.

Consequences, I must stress,
hear all facts and stay abreast.
Being first to make the grade,
gets you lost in life's charade.

Heed the words you've heard from me,
future's aren't your destiny.
Now you'll feel the life that crawls,
upon stone walls of Haggards' Halls.
