Two Angels
Tammy Soleno |
Two kids
Who would come to play
On my lawn they would stay
I would watch from my window pane
They would laugh and act insane
Everyday they would come
Wanting to see the adults they will become
Sometimes I wave
These moments I will save
It must be nice to have no cares
Running ,playing,and taking dares
She was six her brother was two
What a pair those two
One day the laughter came to a halt
Wondering if its my fault
They didn't come
I was feeling glum
Day after day I would wait
Leaving cookies as bait
Asked around to find out where they have been
As I found out the tears hit my skin
The kids were killed in a car
Not very far
The mother moved away
She just couldn't stay
I will never forget that day
I look out my window but the lawn is bare
These days I don't really care
Its sure lonely with the kids not there
Life just doesnt seem fair
No kids are singing or being insane
I can really feel the pain
One day I heard a child playing
I looked out my window pain
I seen two rays of light moving insane
Then I looked closer and the rays of light
Formed into two angels in my site
They were playing like they use to do
I cried and told them I miss you too |

In memory of these two kids I knew that were killed in a car accident | | |
