On September 11th, 2001
A very cowardly deed was done.
They flew into the New York Twin Towers
The hijacked planes they used, both were ours.
Taking innocent civilians to their deaths
As a Nation watched and held its breath.
Into the Pentagon the third one flew
Killing the passengers and the crew.
The fourth plane was from the Capital bound
All on board died as it hit the ground.
On unsuspecting citizens these terrorists did prey
Bringing upon our nation, this dark day. |
