America
Frederick D. Perkins
|
America the beautiful, the segregated
The land where different is hated
The land of amber waves of grain
Where every grain stands for someones pain
From sea to shining sea
Millions beg, don't forget me
For purple mountains majesty
We helped build this country
Please don't turn your back on me
AMERICA
My fathers owned this land
He taught me to be a man
How to respect a woman
He taught me to live and forgive
Now all I see
Is a land of no courtesy
AMERICA
Together we stand
Even on borrowed land
In the land of milk and honey
Where is the money
AMERICA, God shed his grace on thee
So what does that do for me
AMERICA
