The Harley's engine idles low
Open highways cause a glow
In the heart the beat is felt
Long beard and jacket black
Knowing there will be no turning back
Once the highway does start to roll
Below this tough and gentle soul
This one with no rules
This rebel true
This one that does not look back
The one that looks so mean
That man could not possibly have a dream
The miles pass beneath his machine
The wind blows in his weathered face
As the miles race and race
But beneath that battered look
Is a heart like a book
It only takes an eye to see
What reality his heart is
For that rebel you see
Would give his life to be
The giver of a hug
But he must be just a lug
And that little one he tucks in
I wonder where this world has been
To think this rider would be that way
To think he would ever say
I love you
Is not true I say
No one like him could be that way
No one that could listen to
The wind or see the sky so blue
Could love like me and you
