It is amazing how the year goes by so fast
That in our procrastination to write or call
To say "Hi" to our friends and loved ones
We end up saying goodbye.
We get caught up with the reasons why we haven't
Written for long, that we end up not writing at all.
Believing in our reasons and not knowing all
They want is just a word of "Hi" from us.
Thoughts and pages of reasons that never left
Our possession, now becomes our position.
Too often we wait too late to write or call and say "Hi"
We suffer our slow compassion that tarries until too late
Our sin of omission now transform to our haunting ghost.
Today be sure to write or call, for emptiness and memories,
Often would take our place.
