Worship
Sheri Davis

We only come out late at night
when the moon is pale and full
to worship here within these stones
as the night wind keeps us cool
While average mortals dream their dreams
we practice ancient ways,
calling forth the oracle
to offer up our praise
In circles, we begin to dance
abandoning our fears,
recalling rituals of the past
as we have done for years
The ceremony lasts 'til dawn
before we disappear
but not before our plans are made
to meet again next year
