To sit back and think of my favourite things, that makes life so special to me,
My mind is aglow, which one? I don't know, which favourite, which one will it be?.
To look at a sunrise, the start of the day, is beauty that's all on it's own,
My children I see, as proud as can be, they're all adults, look how they've grown.
The sunset at night, now there is a sight, to tell us it's time for to sleep,
The dog that we had, when my son was a lad, laughter that caused us to weep.
All dressed in white, a mother's delight, the day my daughter was wed,
When my son as a groom, he stood out in a room, the bridesmaids looked pretty in red.
The people I meet, not just in the street, the people all over the globe,
Writer's and poet's, their riches to share, their words to wear like a robe.
Grandchildren are favourites, moments we share, cuddles and kisses amass,
Like reading a story or playing with toys or running around on the grass.
The day's when two people entered my life, partners my children had chose,
Surprise that it brings, when you finally see, the very first bloom of a rose.
A favourite time or a being, is a difficult task to decide,
To go for a walk, or just stopping to talk or maybe to go for a ride.
So many are these precious moments, one favourite I cannot agree,
Every moment is special throughout my life, life is my favourite, you see.
