Who Gives A Damn About Saddam
Frederick D. Perkins |
It's a struggle to keep a roof over my head
It's up to me and, me alone
To keep my family fed
I've seen grandparents in their golden years
Who have to step up and, raise a toddler or two
The autumn of their lives should not be filled
With tears and fears
So I ask you
WHO GIVES A DAMN ABOUT SADDAM
The economy is turning around, it's coming up
Well then, I guess those people in the unemployment line
Simply gave up
A brave American once said "give me liberty or, give me death"
A brave and defiant act
I wonder what that brave American would say about
The HOME LAND SECURITY ACT
With the weight of that on your back
WHO GIVES A DAMN ABOUT SADDAM
A large company, laid off more people than the population of my home town
As you look around
More and more people are saying
There are no jobs to be found
So many people are waiting for the big turn around
There seems to be more crashes on the stock market
Than at a demolition derby
There is no pain, like a pain in the pocket
So now, I ask you
WHO GIVES A DAMN ABOUT SADDAM
