Yet another day has dawned
With its predictable routines.
The morning ablution, the prayer,
The breakfast, and the get-ready-hurry;
Commuting in congestion,
Bursting into office,
Sinking into the seat,
And slouching over the files;
In-between coffee, tea, and snacks,
The staleness of familiarity,
Meaningless pleasantries,
Inevitable annoyance - all so familiar and loathsome!
Back at home, drained of spirit,
Senses dead, Soulless for readymade relax techs,
I long for diversion.
Alas! Only family chores.
