Just once a week we had a break and joined a local team,
The ladies played a game of darts, we really had a scream.
Around about the Christmas when it was time to bake,
My friend and I decided, mince pies we were to make,
The night we went to play our darts, the room was full you see,
A lady wanted cooking done, she tried to talk to me.
As the room was very crowded, I couldn't hear to well,
This lady asked for some mince pies, as far as I could tell.
My memory went to pieces, I forgot this women dish,
I tried to tell my friend about this women and her wish.
For some unknown, strange reason, I mentioned to my friend,
Some sausage rolls, this lady wants, thinking that was the stories end.
Imagine what a shock I had, the next night out we had,
When looking at the sausage rolls, the women seemed quite sad,
They really look delicious, such a great surprise,
I never wanted sausage rolls, I wanted some mince pies.
She bought the sausage rolls from us and still made her request,
"I think your pastries are so nice, I still want all the meat".
The other ladies were intrigued, you could see it in their eyes,
They also ordered sausage rolls and also some mince pies.
This funny little story happened years ago,
It turned into a business, I'd like to let you know.
My life changed from that moment, it happened straight away,
The work I've done throughout the years started on that day.
