Silence
Seema Banerjee

I cannot say how and who it may be-
But this I know; it first came to me!
The spirit was indescribable silent; but I took
Through which my droopy eyes might look
At my nine years age
Destiny created a silent stage
My Mother covered herself with flower
She closed her eyes forever
She didn't look back at me
Nor she listened to my heart-sob thee!
No teardrop, no movement
Inner mist questionnaire remained silent!
I tried to ask Her:
Where She is going without me?
But gloomy silence locked up my mouth dumb spree!

Silently She left me behind
Said good-bye to my little innocent mind!
I was just like a frog in a well
Didn't know how to swim in that dwell?
I wasn't aware of that surprised test
Stayed standstill as an unwanted guest!
I waited for Her coming back again
But that silence asked for a bargain!

In memory of my beloved late Mother
