Secrets
Al Alexandra

True blue eyes peek through the gap
With tears that run and flow with grief
Over a cheek that throbs from a slap
And red as a Japanese maple leaf

The look of hurt in those blue eyes
Is more than just the pain
The scratches on her ghost white thighs
Show it was a strain

Her crow-black hair falls like a shade
Closing her sorrows from the room
She sits there wishing she could fade
Into the night that seals her doom.
