I had the strangest dream last night
It really gave me quite a fright
In the fog, I was running away
And couldn't tell if it was night or day
I never really saw anyone there
But felt the presence of someone getting near
I was too afraid to turn and look behind
To see if it was all just in my mind
I felt that this was someone I didn't want to face
Who ever it was, kept up the pace
I was so tired and couldn't run anymore
I've never been so frighten before
I stopped and shouted, "Please leave me alone!"
The footsteps stopped and I heard a groan
Then a woman's voice said, "I'm tired of running too"
"Let me tell you what you should do"
I didn't understand what she was saying
And as she came closer, I started praying
Then the fog cleared so I could see
And was shocked to see an image of me!
She said, "Do you understand now, why I'm here?"
"You know there is really nothing to fear
All you have to do is face yourself to be free
When you do that, I will let you be"
Now I knew all along... I was running from me
