If I could ease a troubled mind
And put each rain cloud far behind
I'd lay bright sunshine at your door
And give you rainbows evermore
If I could write with a Midas Touch
All letters penned might mean so much
The ink within would never grow old
Each word arranged in solid gold
If I could make one little child
Change his frown into a smile
Undoubtedly I'd take his grief
This is truly my belief
If I could have a final say
In every path of disarray
All misdeeds be cast aside
To give life back a sense of pride
If I could leave a part of me
In some outstanding eulogy
One piece for all the world to see
That told of my ability
If I could only find a niche
To pull this off without a glitch
Tomorrow being as it should
The best of all
If I could
