Weeping Beauty
Kelly Louthan |
See Beauty she is weeping beneath a moon so pale
Listen carefully to her heart and the shattered rhythm that it holds
To a silver tongued demon her virtue she did sale
Artful hands caressed innocence bidding her like a new day flower to unfold
Within her ear he wove sweet lies he knew that could not fail
To him she gave her passion, her love, her virtue her heart believing the lies he told
See Beauty she is weeping as the stars look down from on high
See her watch him walk away her eyes now filled with pain and tears
He does not listen nor does he seem to care as to the heavens her sorrow cries
A cold heart keeps his feet moving onward he's played this game for years
Betray grips it's hands of ice around her heart as she sees the truth from lies
Sorrow fills her spirit binding it tight with doubt and fear
And now she weeps beneath a midnight sky
A part of her wishing she would die
