Nocturnal, my dear,
always nocturnal...
These thoughts in twilight
dare to roam the fields of midnight new
searching for those moments
in the night of our rapt tenderness
when we hold in all the love
and breathe it into our memories.
The night...our one rose of peace.
The sweet essence of its beauty
flowing into our days.
As we grow hour by hour
closer to our eternity,
to the embrace of angels' wings.
We reach for each other
in the cocoon of tangled sheets
viewing each other with the eyes
of knowing, with the vision
of our fragility. Remembering
that love goes on and on. Even though
we might be in a lasting sleep,
our spirits soar; then make the leap.
And so it's true...
