Not before had any seen
another faster count a bean.
Or dedicate more of his time
to see those rogue beans fall in line.
Said naughty beans in boots did shake
when handled by the handsome rake.
(I secretly suspect it fact,
this trembling to be an act!)
Inside their little beanie hearts
they giggled when he moved their parts.
But soon and clear our Duck did find
a laugh did rarely cross his mind.
Day in day out was none but toil.
In fact we've no more midnight oil.
Till once his mind a thought did start.
To leave the beans. Go chase his heart.
Indeed the only burning flame
was for nothing to be the same.
No more would Ducky play this game.
To waste his chance would be a shame.
The time had come to look within
and really try to see it.
While all the world does wish for him
the courage now to be it.
The Moral of the Story:
Some things amount to not much more than a hill of beans.
