A Gift Wrapped With Love

'Twas once a time that was so dear
a day when Christmas came into my heart
Because God had sent the baby Jesus
to give my life a brand new start
This tree of life glowed, with a light so bright
so full of presents wrapped by love
That was given to me to keep forever
oh what a precious gift God sent from above
One day my heart became his manger
where he could come into and live
It was not the best of house's for such a one
but, that was all he expected me to give
I opened my heart's door for him to enter
He didn't even mind the dirt in side
for that was the purpose, in why he was sent
so that in my heart he could reside
God prepared this child for me one day
it was a birth that I will never forget
For on that Christmas night when he was born
that brought an ending to my past regrets
That star of hope now shines in my life
for in my house I have given him a bed
I made room for him to come in and abide
there in my heart a place to lay his head
And now I have Christmas all year round
and that baby Jesus has grown up in me
When I found the true meaning of his birth
I have presents every day around my tree
He became, the tree of life
and Salvation made me a branch of the tree
For when one accepts him as their Savior
then by him their soul is set free
And though he was King, he chose to come low
he did this sacrifice for each and everyone
And I thank God above for sending this gift
Christ Jesus, his only, begotten Son
