Who's To Know
Frederick D. Perkins |
Sometimes I wonder
When I look back upon my life
What would I change
Oh no, not in my life
But, in the lives of those
Whose lives I've touched
What would I do different
Would I smile a little more
Would I change the tune
In the song and dance I've done
When confronted with the ifs and whys
WHO'S TO KNOW
I've said I'm sorry more time than I care to remember
But, was I truly sorry, is anyone ever
There've been happy times shared with others
All smiles and laughs, living for the moment
Oh how fleeting are these times
So easily remembered, on a glass of wine
These fleeting moments we hold dear
And pray they are not forgotten, but then
WHO'S TO KNOW
Upon a star filled sky, a full moon lay
As we make love, not soon forgotten
Remembered upon roses and a sentimental card
Youthful love and, the embrace of time
Do things to the mind
Things thought long forgotten
Are remembered with a thought and a smile
And then I wonder
WHO'S TO KNOW
