To Those Who Wait
Elizabeth DeChant |
Looking back I see it now
All things come to those who wait
True it may be, but I have found
The chance has passed and it's too late
To have what I waited for
Hoped that one day would come to be
Missed what could and might have been
Lost in my uncertainty
Wait for fate to bring to pass
But you may wait your whole life long
As all your dreams others claim
And you slowly realize you were wrong
He who hesitates is lost
Left with shadows, memories
What waits or stops for any man?
Not time, nor life, nor anything
Its wise to look before you leap
Rushing blind can cause your fall
But I caution you, look not too long
Or you may miss your chance to leap at all
