You're Not Alone
Renae King |
Depression is here again
I swore I wouldn't let it in,
But its hold on me is so strong
Always makes me feel like I don't belong,
I'm out on the streets in this dark lonely town
Trying to stay away from those around,
My family couldn't handle me
And my Doctor gave up on me,
So I took a dive straight into the night
Wanting to see my angel this night,
Maybe I was just dreaming
But somehow I knew, there had to be a bigger meaning,
Just when I thought she wasn't around
All I kept hearing was turn around,
So finally I turned around, and there she was
Oh so beautiful, I know God sent her from above,
Her lights danced all around her
Somehow at that moment, I didn't have a care,
I thought I was alone, and nobody cared
She said she had always been there,
I just never stopped long enough to hear
But from now on, I know I have my angel near,
It doesn't even matter that I'm out on the streets
I now know the meaning of life's secrets,
Learn the love that you hold deep inside
And let go of all of that pride,
Take time to listen, and I'll just bet
You will hear your own angel, and you to will feel blessed.
