When I Open The Door
Ike K. Osuchukwu

Infatuation sweeps the sky in a sigh
Kissing the stars upon my face
Smooching the legs on my tummy
Sending my arms on a mission of fate
A whirlwind brews on the corner of my tongue
Vanquishing my soul to the infinity of the moment
Singing lullabies of seduction on my breath
Pumping my chest to the drumbeats of love
I hear rhythms of a virgin's satire
Clapping hands on the spectrum of my gaze
Holding on to the skin of my eyes
Tumbling through a river of imagination
Sending music to the wire of my brain
You tell me stories in the message of a silence
Anointing me the master of lust
Leaving the world behind in a trash can
Touching the sky in the flight of a bird
You are the diamond of my dreams
Sleeping on the snowflakes of mountain peaks
Sparkling my joy in the glimmer of purple streams
Stirring my mind with the beauty of a snake
Bringing me conflict if the world thus dare
For your candle burns at the center of my bed
Planting your face on the head of my pillow
Sowing the seeds of endless dreams
To open my doors to the next day's sun
