Mother's Milk
Brian L. Davis

Smoother than any woven silk
Satisfying hunger like no other
Mother's Milk
As natural as the setting sun
Mother feeding her new born
Showing us nurturing at it's finest
A new mother feeding the tinest
Little baby I ever saw
Gave me this feeling of awe
What a gift a woman has
To create a life and then that
Little child can suckle it's mother
Creating a bond like no other
Feeding until it falls fast asleep
A mother's love is so deep
She can create a living soul
Mother's are the greatest of us all
The strongest man in the land
Will run to mother to hold his hand
When he is feeling alone and hurt
He finds comfort in mama's skirt
We as men think we are the strong
But in reality we are so wrong
Women out rank us ten to one
How can we compete with what they've done
The pain they bare when giving birth
Is like no other on this earth
If it were up to men to bare this task
There would be no children for life to last
Not saying that men can't do their share
But there's allot of pain men can't bare
The best we can do is to make fine silk
And thank God above
For sweet nurturing Mother's Milk

To all mothers and mothers to be,
thanks for the love of a mother's touch.
