Ode To A Frosty Morn
Roger Belton |
Arrived at work all safe and sound,
Found lotsa frost had covered the ground.
So, being careful, as is my habit,
I decided to step lightly, not move like a rabbit.
When all at once was I surprised
To be on the ground, midst moans & cries.
My thermos was scooting across the way,
My breakfast was under me where I lay.
I rose to my feet, which is always tough,
And counted my limbs...and other stuff.
Finding myself still all together,
I resolved to be careful in icy weather.
Toward the office I started, once again.
And this time I made it all the way in,
Trying to maintain a good frame of mind,
In spite of falling obliquely on my behind.
