One Path, Two Worlds
Cynthia Estremera |
I have ponder'd fate and afterlife.
Shades of darkness, in life, is all I see,
For my life has become a fearful strife.
This curiosity brings scare in me.
When my heavy eyelids have given way,
Will apart of me die, will pieces fade,
Behind great wings that carry me away,
Through gates of heaven where angles have laid?
Or, when once thick clouds beneath me break'st,
Has the underworld summoned me below?
Will my warm heart freeze and body shake'st?
Conflagrations leave dead faces aglow.
Wherever I'll land will be my saved seat,
In heaven or hell's where fate and I meet.
