Every dog has its day!
Missteps turn firm steps!
Failures herald triumphs!
Fools transform into pragmatists!
All these do happen
Right under our noses;
Only we fail to pause
And read their significance,
The message, we miss, busy we are!
"The Ant and the Grasshopper",
Here I am, an example,
A bad one maybe,
But, still an example!
Lived I hell for 18 long years,
Cursing myself;
Suicide attempted several times;
Suicide? Yes!
Ashamed I am!
I was a coward,
A desperate escapee from life.
Times changed;
Benign became my stars,
Once bent on damning,
Dooming me!
A dead man become alive,
Determined to share his past
With sympathetic souls.
A lesson he has learnt,
And, he desires to impart it.
Kindness is the milk of love.
This kindness, and this milk
Are irrelevant
In this world
Where self-love
Builds itself
On misanthropy.
Honesty is the best policy.
Read, "Dishonesty is the best diplomacy."
Hard work pays in the end.
In the end, yes, it does,
But the paid, alas!
Aren't the workers,
But the advocates
Of industry-promotion,
Who determine the lot
Of the virtuous,
Who work for them!
Society demands;
Individuals dispensable.
Disposable syringes,
Use-and-throw-away items.
Learn these lessons, and you are
Eligible to live well in this world.
