Lifeline
Paul E. Berube |
Life reveals through throbbing pulse
to course these veins by opt.
Narrow streams it navigates,
pressed and seldom stops.
Its' center holds a mighty core,
that drives a liquid line.
Purging wealth within itself,
refined and so sanguine.
We strain this gift, most by choice,
some shatter it apart.
I like to think most cherish these,
emotions of the heart.
