Love Sonnet
Ingrid Collins |
Sing of the glorious end of darkening fear.
And hasten perfect love and golden laughter!
We have no time to dwell on darkness drear,
Nor space nor will to build sad memories hereafter.
When love's our monarch, then we to the light
Do turn, and all within the heavenly glow divine,
Perceived as sacred, beauteous and bright,
Is seen in its true form and honest line.
So let the heavy bonds of grieving fall away,
And choose bright sunlight and embracing bliss.
Choose ecstasy! Come, sweetheart, on this wondrous day
And seal our promised joy with tender kiss.
Thus to the world let our brave legacy remain,
That we with loving courage vanquished fear and pain.
