Confusion
Aditi Narayan

The sun came up and lit the sky,
The grass was wet with early-morning dew,
the dodo dropped it's eggs in the crow's nest,
The skylark started its melodious singing,
And the owl sat blinking on the apple tree.

The sound of a car suddenly coming to a stop,
The sight of a young woman rushing off to work,
The sight of a middle-aged man walking his children to school,
The smell of morning coffee,
And the owl sat blinking on the apple tree.

The sun sank down and "rested behind the mountains",
The moon came up and brightened the dark sky,
The skylark stopped and rested on the apple tree,
The owl shut its eyes and slowly fell asleep,
The crow took care of the unknown dodo's eggs,
And God sat watching on his creations below.

The world is subjected change and so are we. Some don't like change and try to avoid it, and in the end they are the ones that remain confused...accept change, make the best out of it, don't avoid it.
