Haggard's Halls ( XII )
Paul E. Berube

Threads of fear hold me near,
In vein I feign asleep.
My heart demure, remains secure,
A tribute of my keep.

What value draws ones mind to cause,
This mysterys' adaptation?
Void of soul, will truly hold,
The key for generations.

Oh! ageless friend, remember when
Duties weren't for naught?
In final chance with skills enhanced,
of honor that we sought.

Alas! believe, can you conceive,
A path that suits us all?
Mother Earth shall ease the dearth
That lays in Haggard's Halls..
