Dark Child
Derrick Flournoy

Born not in a manger, but in a world in danger,
Living in a land of a stranger to estrange you,
Who has no ranger for any in danger? Only
Strangers and rangers to make danger; Dark
Child screams that you are in danger of strangers
And rangers, who are like hangers and danglers that
Are not far from you; that you seek not to dream,
But to be redeemed, from where you are, in the
Darkness, among the star and to know that you are
Never too far from the Morning Star that is seen
Day and night, and it's so bright among any
Star light.

Dark Child wondering in the wilderness because
Of darkness of danger; wondering where you are
That you seek the twinkle of the Morning Star,
Dark Child, it's never too far, the Morning Star,
Who never wonder where you are.

Twinkle, twinkle, Morning Star, how Dark Child
Wonder where you are; he wonders in the dark,
Never knowing your not far, for none in the dark,
Because you're the bright Morning Star!
