Surrounded by ignorance
I despise their drama
slept away by self consumption
I give them little thought
for I am alive
and every morning
I am thankful
for another day
so I smile and stretch
it's all perspective
I choose to feel great
Things I lost
along the way
loved ones I grieve
gone to the great beyond
who watch over me
would want to see
me admiring flowers
and a warm summer breeze
I choose to live

and live my life
