Grandfather was sitting by the pier,
I took a sit nearby and tried to listen to what he can hear,
From the wind that was blowing on his face,
From his eyes, deeply lost in the large space...
He seemed to have learnt by heart the long history,
His lengthy experience has left no mystery,
He said he knows the truth...
To get it, he said he paid all his childhood and youth,
So I tried to buy a part,
From some words he said from his heart...
It was about love...
Violet, purple and mauve,
That's how he described its color,
So he gets me a follower...
He said never say I have no soul mate,
Never say it's too late,
As long as you believe in God,
So my head I nodded...
He said, Son, even if one day you feel down,
Remember that after a long night comes the dawn,
Rainbow is done,
Whenever winter is gone,
You will surely have your spring,
Perfect words and a sweet melody to sing,
It's all about love,
Violet, purple and mauve...
You'll find your self in the shore,
Saved by the savior and the one you'll adore,
There's nothing better you can feel,
Because your love is real...
That's when I said: dad may be I'm younger than you,
I'm not qualified to donate as you can do,
But let me fill your heart again,
With a story for which I've never made a plan...
Fading colors was the image of my life,
Every single day was cutting a piece of my heart with a sharp knife...
Till I met that girl by chance,
Life found back its colors and I knew how to dance,
On a sweet rhythm of a song,
It's like a prayer; oh there is nothing wrong,
As it's all about love,
Violet, purple and mauve,
When I remember the pain I had,
I feel like I lived longer than you did dad,
Waiting for a day,
In which I could feel this way,
Now I'm begging god to give me a longer life,
To bless my beautiful wife,
To help me to make her space a parade,
A rainbow that colors would never fade,
Specially the violet, the purple and mauve...
The colors of our sweet love...
