Oil Soaked Dream
Stephen Watson |
Can you hear the children scream,
When you dream your oil soaked dream?
Did you hear their mothers cry,
As three thousand soldiers died?
Do you see the peoples' fear,
When they nervously appear?
To play their bloody fated role.
Like extras hired to play a part;
As your self-made tragedy unfolds.
Do you sense the rage that's been unleashed,
Or feel the footsteps of the beast?
As its hellspawn legions wait;
Until your oil soaked dream has ended.
To seal your final fate.
