Nothing To See Here, Just Another Valentine's Day Massacre
Rouen D.E. Robinson

For years his heart sat high on a wall
Met you and it had somewhat of a fall
You could not love him more than other men
And now his heart is out of reach again

He hates to admit how much it hurt
You talk to each other with words so curt
Its somewhat like an accident scene
Passive Aggressive instead of plain mean

People around you can feel the chill
Swallowing pride is a bitter pill
When he comes online you go offline
Where it went wrong is hard to define

Feelings were there feeding your passions
Which became more like living on rations
Somewhere you lost all that you had
Or maybe your love was just a fad

Lost in sentiment is where he's trapped
Caught in a maze that's never been mapped
Freedom from the past will come in some way
But for now you both dread each Valentine's Day
