A curious thing it was, to see her standing there.
Painted against the rainbow, ocean breeze in her hair.
Robins egg ruffles of course, billowing out behind,
Fingering sapphire beads, the dime and penny kind.
Traversing through the flowers of periwinkle bright.
Fascination drew me close, just knowing this was right.
Seeing her about to bloom, my senses start to reel.
Belief not just a part of sight, but based on what I feel.
Though she stood reflecting sad, I watched the subtle change.
Moving in then closer still, I saw things rearrange.
Gazing at the sea azure, her color rushes in,
Penetrates then permeates, immersing soul to skin.
Overflows and overspills unbound is inspiration.
Delightful shudders lifting up bright imagination.
Looking deep then in her eyes, I know this to be true.
What was once the deepest brown is now the purest blue.
