For a short time captured in a dream
Memories are unreal now it seems.
Still I hear the sound of chasing waves
Feel the tearing wind and my heart craves.
Along the shore of calm or howling sea
The fragrance of life gets new hold of me,
Sand and salt teach me feelings of sprite
My eyes light up at this wondrous sight.
Daydreams of the sea warm up my soul
Those powerful waters forever will roll,
Sea views hypnotize me with their charms,
Marvelling, I feel held in Nature's arms.
My thoughts reach out with each remembered splash
I get aware of distance, at one dash!
Drowned in beautiful visions of "my" sea
The Angels will already know my plea –
That I'll dip my toes in this velvet blue
And bathe my soul again in her changing hue.
