This poem describes the way I feel
I wrote it, just today.
I hope that you will take to heart,
These words I have to say
My life has been so dreary
I've been battered by its storm.
Then you, my Trudy came my way
And made me feel so warm
The words you spoke reached out to me
And, they nestled in my heart.
You've come to mean so much to me,
Though we're many miles apart
In you, I sense, a tenderness
That's been missing for so long
I had lost my faith in love; you see
And now, it feels so strong.
I do not know what's yet to come
That's not for me to see
But I can face the fiercest storms
If you will stand by me
So, hold my hand, and we shall walk
Together, in the sun
The road is much more gentle, now
And, our journey's just begun...
