Mad rush to get your shopping done,
You just gotta find the perfect gifts for everyone,
Decorate the tree,
Bake cookies,
So much to do, so little time,
But, people get so busy with all they have to do,
That they forget what the day is all about,
Even when you sing the songs,
And go to church,
Where is your heart, really?
When He looks down upon us,
How are we remembering Him?
On our birthdays,
People celebrate us,
So, on Christmas, shouldn't we celebrate Him?
It's good to sing Silent Night,
And, Joy to the World is awesome too,
But, I think we should sing a different kind of Christmas song,
How about something we all know so well,
"Happy Birthday, Jesus"
We can't buy presents or make a cake,
But, we can give a tribute to Him,
Lift up our voices,
Bow our heads,
And, give all our love and appreciation,
Show all the love we would for others on their special day,
Still celebrate Christmas as you would with your family,
But, make some time for the real reason for the season,
Don't forget Him, He didn't forget us,
And, sing Him a different kind of Christmas song.
