The Promise Of Spring
Ursula Steinhauser
|
Bundles of snowdrops, frail and white,
Have come through soil just over night.
They promise an end of Wintertime.
Of brighter days and mild sunshine.
Our frozen dreams come to life again
And frost is replaced by gentle rain,
Like nature returns to shades of green,
Our life takes uplift and we are keen
To step over the threshold of every year,
When all these tender flowers reappear.
White bells’ chime makes dark clouds part
We feel this wonder stir within our heart.
Deep inside clear messages arrive,
Important words like a promise for life,
Our heart only hears the sweet melody
Promising Spring beyond fantasy.
