Autumn Rain
Phillip Knox |
Through the gale rains of Autumn pour
in the distance, lucidly as crystal
upon blue hue mountain summits
from red sunset skies.
The horizon fades in perfect ebony
at twilight, the silhouette of threaded smiles
pass from dusk to dawn
as rivers flow to melodic seas.
I dream of your face from simplicity
of mood, forgive me
the heart that yearns a simple kiss
divinity sublime, no apathy of me
elder kinsmen of mine.
Chaotic screams of subtle minds
drift within the wind
and in one breath from eternity
I gaze upon opalescent moons.
Silver suns across shades of night illuminate
indigo springs of mist
the aura of memories, the aroma of bliss
like African violet blooms.
Spanish blue bells capture yesterday
como esta my sweet summer fly of May
how I have loved you in a day
like Shakespeare let me count the ways.
Illusory picturesque fountains
repose so serenely upon my soul
how the moments came, yet flown
within the storms of Autumn rain.
