First Tear Kelly Louthan
How is it that a tear first came to be
Was it to show our weakness
Or our humanity
Is it in strength we oft time our feelings manage to hide
Or in strength we allow them down our cheek their gentle slide
God held his first creation so tenderly
Within it he saw you and me
He saw how truly beautiful of heart both man and woman can be
He felt emotion well deep inside
As the first tear down his cheek began it's gentle slide
Then gave it to us so from our hearts we could never hide
I believe that's how the first tear came to be
Gods precious gift of humanity

Life Of A Tear
Brian L. Davis
To test your affection
Or show your fear
The trickle of a tear
To look back
Upon the past
A tearful eye is cast
To the dearly departed
Tearful and broken-hearted
Over the names of these before
With silence and tears
To visit once more
Even as we retreat
We no again when we meet
Whether far or near
We'll meet again with a tear
Though sorrow seems to win
When death steps in
To sever for years
Leaving hearts bathed in tears
A day of trial to bear
Feeling guilt and despair
As hope again it springs
Comes soaring in on wings
Enjoying them as they fly
Merrily, merrily they go by
Leaving loss ever gentle
On my mind
Easing the mental fear
Part of the life of a tear
