Seasons change for reasons often unknown.
A prelude to this interlude is so seldom shown.
Privileged am I for a blessed memory to recall
one brisk, breezy morn's transition into fall.

Closing my eyes, feeling the coolness of the breeze,
my soul was serenaded by a symphony of leaves.
Cottonwoods fluttered on, chattering vibrantly,
like magical maestros commanding tempos brilliantly.
Standing proud & tall nearby, Elms gracefully swayed along
while the birds within their branches broke heavenly into song.
The swish and sway of the waving, willow tree
reverberated throughout this wondrous melody.
Floating on the wind, a bevy of yellow butterflies
bounced upon the rhythm in the tranquil, azure skies.
Caressing the shores, the waves upon the lake
offered soothing, watery lulls of gracious give and take.
Autumn winds whistled a grandiose chorus fair
lifting nature's song into the chilled morning air.
Overwhelmed by my senses, my eyes opened to see
this dance of the seasons performed before me.
Colors whipped around in flurries upon the ground
like graceful, autumn dancers adorned in golden gowns.
The sun danced & pranced o'er the top of the trees;
'Twas Summer's final farewell orchestrated with ease.

Spring
Jonez Workz
Leaves and flowers bursting forth
breaking away from winters embrace
hibernating animals stretch and move
in search of food
blades of grass, that will tickle childrens feet,
reach for the sky
farmers arising in the early dawn
anticipating sowing the seeds of a future harvest
the wind blows in a more temperate climate
of springs thaw
rubbing my eyes to the brighter sunlight
as if they were asleep for the winter
I breath in the fresh warm air
casting aside thoughts of snow
and cold fingers and toes
and wander forth into springs new world
come nearer to me my wife and child
hold my hands, dear ones, let us run with the wind
let us swim in the beauty of the here and now
and smile in the face of springs new birth

Winter
Betty Hattersley
The seasons come and go you know,
Summer, spring or fall,
But the season that's quite beautiful,
Is winter after all.
When snowflakes fall so softly,
And the Robin comes to stay,
When you see the little children,
How happily they play.
A snowman looks quite proud out there,
In a garden right next door,
The sky is white all over,
It's about to snow some more.
Red berries look so pretty,
Against the brilliant white,
How the snowflakes glisten,
In the darkness of the night.
Everywhere looks peaceful,
Like a blanket on the ground,
When the snow is falling,
You can barely hear a sound.

Winter Is Approaching
Kathy Gandy
As I sit in my living room
and I look outside
I can see how the leaves
have all withered and died.
I no longer see flowers
with their beautiful blooms
inter is approaching
and it will be here soon.
The shimmering green grass
has now turned to brown
And it lies beneath the leaves
that have fallen to the ground.
The hummingbirds are gone
and so are the bees
Winter is approaching
with it's chilly cold breeze.
The life that was there
that I saw with my eyes
Will be gone for a season
then it will arise.

Seasons Change
Tammy Soleno
Winter
The cold wind blows
A kid comes out to play
In the drifts of snow.
With fat white flakes
Falling all around
Making white sheets
Upon the ground.
The wind is cold,
The sky is gray,
The birds are flying
On this winter day.
Spring
Spring fills the air
And none to soon
For letting us know
That all is in bloom
Trees are in blossom
As flowers spring
From the ground
Birds start making
Such wonderful sounds
Letting us know
That summers around
Summer
Skies of blue.
A blazing sun
In golden hue.
Poolside parties,
Sprinklers on high.
'Till the sun melts
From the sky.
on hot summer days
Filled with excitement
Barbecues
And family fun
Laughing and playing
Until the day is done
Relaxing under
The shade
Autumn
Green leaves
Turn to gold
The air around
Is fresh and sweet
It is not really cold.
The sun sets
Earlier now,
The hot summer days
Have taken their last
Heated bow.

Ode To Autumn
Rosebulb A.
The autumn leaves will soon be gone
and another season will soon appear
For as the flowers wither, under cool damp air
it's a sign that winter draws near
As we glance out over our empty lawns
that once spew layers of green
But now we see that, it shows patches of brown
for another season is coming on the scene
There also stands our most favorite tree
that once bloomed like an open umbrella
Which gave us shade from the scorching sun
mow it hovels with leaves that are yellow
We glance through the woods that now are bare
they have even turned another hue
There is red and orange, all mixed together
but oh what a breath-taking view
So as our eyes behold that it's all around us
for there are signs of it everywhere
And as we rake, to gather up the leaves
we bag the proof, that it really was there
